A Funny Choice

Today I overheard an AWESOME conversation between my 5 year old (Magnolia) and my 3 year old (Henry).

Henry: My bum put poo in my ear

Maggie: That story is not a good choice, Hen

Henry: It's not a good choice, it's a FUNNY choice

I need to tack a tape recorder to my bra or something. Moments like these are too fabulous not to hear over and over.

That was a funny choice!

Now the question is did his bum really put poo in his ear? Checking that out would be a wise choice.

Hee hee! It's so true. I actually bought an old-fashioned stereo so I could record actual tapes of my funny children.

But the bra-wire-tapping is more genius. Let me know when you perfect it- I'll take two. (But remember to make them size 1/2 A's for me, won't you dear?)

You know what? I'd almost rather have a funny kid than a polite one at times. Henry seems to really "get it". So far I see no mushroom-ness in him. A sigh of relief. Seriously, what would you do if one of your kids was a mushroom?! I'd die.

I'm with Charlotte on this one.

That is hilarious. I love the grown up phrasing that Maggie used. Sounds like me as a teacher.

What??? Sometimes you wonder, where to do they come up with these things- crazy kids.

Oh LIlly, you know what? I'm one of THOSE moms that lets their children run around the house (and the yard) naked because dressing them is just too hard. I'm one of THOSE moms that lets their children eat icecream for lunch because they're just too tired of fighting over healthier options (that really aren't healthy anyway... Chicken nuggets? corn dogs? do I really buy those things?). Going to the library is the one good thing I've done for Maggie all year. Ok. it's the one good thing I've done her whole life. ha ha.
